Q. I
can't find my registration number. Where is it?
A. For existing
users, check the 'About' box menu item. To otherwise find your
number, send an email to helpdesk@legal-automation.com.
Send us the name and address of the person who paid for the software. We will check our database and either call or email you
with the number. There may be a support call charge if your purchase
is over 6 months old.
Q.
I want to copy my program on my laptop for trips to my client. How
can I do this?
A. You need to
purchase a second license for an additional PC. After you do this we
will forward the instructions.
Q.
I have installed your software but don't see a desktop icon. How to
I start it?
A. Click Windows
Start button, then All Programs, find your program on the menu list
and click to start.
Q. What is the best way to get support?
A. Our phone is our traveling salesperson's line. We offer free
email support from helpdesk@legal-automation.com
with a 24-hour turn around. Our salespeople may or may
not have the resources to help you with a particular support problem
at the time, depending on where they are when you call (like no
computer handy). We have a lot of support scripts and knowledge
base items accumulated from various situations. Rather than have you
search around, just email us with your problem and get a
personalized answer.

COURT
TRUST acCOUNTING QUESTIONS
Q.
My system is slow. What can I do?
A. V2.6 fixes
problems with very large accountings. Email us for details. In some
cases, your data base has had so many entries you need to repair and
compact it. You can do this yourself if you have a copy of Access
2002 (XP) or Access 2003. Otherwise we can do it for you as a level
2 support call.
Q.
I have an account that has liabilities (debts) included in the
opening Inventory on
Hand on an accounting.
A. We have a
special write up on this we can email you. Basically we recommend
they start out as a separate schedule. You can also use a negative
number on the beginning Inventory but this is less accepted. This is pretty common.
Q.
I am having a
problem with the sorting of the Schedules of Receipts and
Disbursements. I know you can choose to print by "date" or by
"category", but when I print by "category" the dates get totally
out of order. Is there a way to keep the dates sorted in order
within each category? I prefer to have things totaled in
categories, but I don't like the look of the mixed up dates.
A. This problem
has been fixed with Version 1.0c. We can e-mail you the update.
